On the MICHELIN Keys list, only two hotels in all of Jakarta hold 2 Keys, and Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is one of them, and the only one of the two you can book through an advisor channel. We checked the actual November prices: a 62 sq m Executive Suite for 3 nights is US$203.56 a night before tax (prepaid, non-refundable), US$738.92 for the three nights including tax, or about US$246 a night with tax. The free-cancellation rate is US$271.41 a night before tax. At this price in Jakarta you get a suite, not a standard room: all 125 rooms in this hotel are suites, and the smallest is 62 sq m.
The key points:
- The advisor rate, Expedia and the hotel's regular rate are exactly the same, for the same room and the same terms, to the cent;
- More importantly, booking through the Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisor channel adds daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit, an upgrade, and early check-in and late check-out at that same price, none of which you get booking through public channels;
- This is not a limited-time promotion and has no booking deadline: the perks apply to the regular room rates all year.
What are MICHELIN Keys?
MICHELIN Keys is the first hotel list MICHELIN issued, in October 2025, and the first edition covered 2,457 hotels. It does not convert to or from the restaurant stars: three Keys does not mean there is a starred restaurant downstairs, and a hotel with a 3-star restaurant doesn't get an extra Key for it. The inspectors are still the same anonymous guests who pay their own bills.
The Keys are not awarded on hardware. They ask a different question: is this hotel worth making a trip for? So the three levels are not separated by room size or by how complete the facilities are:
- 1 Key: clearly better than other options at the same price;
- 2 Keys: worth a detour;
- 3 Keys: worth planning a whole trip around.
Inspectors look at five things: the quality of architecture and interior design, consistency of service, the overall personality and character, whether the experience matches the price, and a contribution to the surrounding neighborhood and environment. That last one is the furthest from traditional star ratings. Hotels that truly build local culture, crafts and ingredients into the product have an edge, while a pricier new tower that looks the same in any city is at a disadvantage. How to read the Keys and use them to rank hotels is covered in this article: How to use MICHELIN Keys to book hotels.
What kind of hotel is Four Seasons Jakarta?

The hotel is in the Capital Place tower on Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, a main artery in central Jakarta. The building is by Cesar Pelli and the interior by Alexandra Champalimaud, mixing Asian and European elements, with a whole line of local art telling the history of the archipelago displayed in the lobby. Although this is a business district, the hotel itself is not large: 125 suites on floors 6 to 19, with floor-to-ceiling windows covering the full wall, and the natural light is what people remember most about it.
There are only five room types, all suites:
- Executive Suite and Deluxe Suite: 62 sq m, one king bed or two queen beds, with the bedroom and living room separated;
- Premier Suite: 68 sq m, panoramic views and a walk-in closet;
- Ambassador Suite: 195 sq m, on the 19th floor;
- Presidential Suite: 330 sq m, also on the 19th floor.
Dining is concentrated in a few signature venues: Palm Court serves local flavors under a 13-meter dome and crystal chandeliers, with dark green velvet high-back chairs as its signature; Alto Restaurant & Bar on the 20th floor has red interiors and a terrace and serves traditional Italian food; Nautilus Bar is themed on the 16th-century spice trade, with spices from the archipelago in its cocktails; and the pastries at La Patisserie have a good local reputation and are often taken home as gifts. The pool is outdoors, with a floor of blue Indonesian-pattern mosaic, the fitness center is open 24 hours, and there is a spa in the building.
One note if you are traveling with children: children aged 18 and under staying with their parents are not charged extra (subject to room availability).
The actual numbers from the advisor price check
Below are the results for a November 10, 2026 check-in, 3 nights, 2 adults. Nightly rates are the average before tax, and the total is the amount actually paid including tax:
| Room type | Prepaid, non-refundable (per night, before tax) | Free cancellation (per night, before tax) | 3-night total with tax (non-refundable) |
| Executive Suite, 62 sq m | $203.56 | $271.41 | $738.92 |
| Deluxe Suite, 62 sq m (city view) | $223.72 | $298.20 | $812.10 |
| Premier Suite, 68 sq m (panoramic view) | $256.01 | $341.32 | $929.33 |
For the same day and the same room type, Expedia and the hotel's regular rate show the same numbers. In other words, the advisor rate carries no extra discount at this hotel. Saving money is not the selling point this time; what you get on top is.
The extra perks from the advisor channel

Booking through an accredited Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisor adds these on top of the same price:
- Daily breakfast for two;
- A hotel credit, calculated per stay rather than accumulating per night: generally US$100 for standard room types and usually higher for suite types, as shown on your booking confirmation;
- A one-category room upgrade (subject to availability on the day of arrival);
- Early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability);
- Free high-speed Wi-Fi.
Although this hotel has no extra discounted rate, once you count two breakfasts a day and that credit, the same room charge actually buys noticeably more than it does through public channels.
Why it is worth a look

In the MICHELIN Keys rating, the bar for 2 Keys is already high: only a little over five hundred hotels worldwide hold 2 Keys, and Jakarta has two of them. The other is The Langham, Jakarta in SCBD, which is not on the list of any advisor perks program, so if you want to book a 2 Key hotel through an advisor channel, Jakarta has only this one.
The price is the better part of the story: US$203.56 a night buys a standard room in most large Asian cities, but here it buys a 62 sq m suite. Jakarta is often treated as a stopover on the way to Bali or Bandung, and many people stay only a night or two. A short stay like that fits Four Seasons well: the nightly rate is not high, and the room is one of the largest entry-level rooms among the city's luxury hotels.
Booking tips
If your budget is tightest, take the Executive Suite non-refundable rate (US$203.56 a night). If your plans aren't fully settled, we suggest going straight to the refundable terms (US$271.41 a night). The difference is under US$68 a night, and it buys the freedom to change dates at any time. A one-night transit stay can be booked too: the checked rate for a single night on November 10 is US$197.12 before tax and US$238.52 with tax, with the perks still attached.
Note that the hotel credit is issued per stay, so a three-night stay and a one-night stay get the same credit. To use the credit fully, one longer stay is better than splitting into two.
If you'd like live quotes for other dates, or want to compare higher-end room types such as the Ambassador Suite, submit an inquiry through the booking inquiry form in this article, and we'll confirm the latest availability and price as an accredited Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisor.
