The History of Hotel Danieli
Hotel Danieli is one of Venice's most iconic luxury hotels, with more than 200 years of history. It sits in a prime location beside St. Mark's Square, overlooking the Venetian Lagoon and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. The hotel keeps its architecture blending Byzantine and Gothic styles, and is a living piece of history itself. Now taken over and renovated by Four Seasons, it keeps its historic atmosphere while bringing in Four Seasons' signature standard of service and modern facilities.

How Can You Book With Points?
Four Seasons currently does not belong to any major points program (Marriott, Hilton and so on), so you cannot redeem hotel points directly for free stays. But there are several ways to get discounts or perks:
Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR)
Amex Platinum Card or Centurion Card holders can book Four Seasons properties through Amex Travel and enjoy these standard benefits: a room upgrade on arrival (subject to availability), daily breakfast for two (worth at least US$60 per night), a US$100 hotel credit, free Wi-Fi throughout, and guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout. Some Four Seasons properties also offer a fourth night free when you stay three nights, so keep an eye on the special offers on the FHR website. Overall, FHR is one of the best-value ways to book Four Seasons, especially for longer stays.

Capital One Venture X
Venture X cardholders can book Four Seasons through the Premier Collection on Capital One Travel and get a US$100 hotel credit per stay, daily breakfast for two, free Wi-Fi, and, subject to availability, a room upgrade, early check-in and late checkout. New in 2026: stay three nights at a Premier Collection hotel and get the fourth night free, a big extra perk. Booking hotels through Capital One Travel also earns 10x miles.
Chase Sapphire Reserve (The Edit)
Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can book Four Seasons through The Edit by Chase Travel and get daily breakfast for two, a US$100 hotel credit, and, subject to availability, early check-in, late checkout and a room upgrade. Starting in 2026, Sapphire Reserve cardholders get two The Edit hotel stay credits of up to US$250 each per year (prepaid, stays of two nights or more), which is more flexible than before.

Booking Directly With Four Seasons
The Four Seasons website occasionally runs early-bird offers or seasonal discounts, which suit those who plan early and have flexible dates. However, compared with the credit card perk programs above, booking directly usually comes with no extra breakfast or hotel credit, so for anyone with a suitable credit card, booking directly is not the best option.
When Is the Best Time to Visit Venice?
Venice's peak tourist season runs from May to September, and July and August are the most crowded. Hotel Danieli opened at the end of July, in the middle of peak season. In my view, fall, from September to October, is the best time to visit Venice: slightly fewer crowds, pleasant weather, and it catches the first change from peak to shoulder season after the hotel begins formal operations.

Conclusion
The opening of Four Seasons Venice is a major moment for luxury travel in 2026. Booking early secures your stay window, especially since peak-season rooms are quite limited, so if you plan to go, it is best to arrange it early.
