There is another new Marriott hotel opposite Hyde Park in London. Hyde & Seek, London Hyde Park is a new member of Tribute Portfolio, at 1 Lancaster Gate, with 309 rooms and suites in all. It opened in September and can now be booked with Marriott Bonvoy.
The hotel was formerly the Corus Hotel Hyde Park. Its owner, Immersive Hospitality Management (IHM), spent £42 million on the renovation and then switched it to the Marriott Tribute Portfolio brand.

The Short Version
- Location: 1 Lancaster Gate, directly facing Hyde Park in the Bayswater area, within walking distance of Paddington Station;
- Size: 309 rooms and suites, formerly the Corus Hotel Hyde Park, with a £42 million renovation;
- Price: according to English-language blog reports, from about £250 on most nights in September and October, and about £400 in April and May 2027;
- Points: the opening-period cash rates are set low, so using points now is not good value; it gets a little better once you reach 2027.
Hotel Location
The hotel is at 1 Lancaster Gate, directly facing Hyde Park, in the Bayswater area. The nearest subway station is Lancaster Gate on the Central line. According to IHM, Paddington Station is within walking distance, and Oxford Street and Mayfair are also fairly easy to reach.
The building was originally a row of Victorian townhouses with white stucco exteriors. The design team was Goddard Littlefair (interiors) and Unwin Jones Partnership (architecture), with a theme of bohemian London of the 1960s and 70s, inspired by creators such as Zandra Rhodes, Ossie Clark and David Hockney.

Rooms
There are 309 rooms and suites, from standard rooms up to the Townhouse suites, as well as the Family Hydeaway family suites. Every room has a smart TV, coffee machine and Grown Alchemist toiletries, plus a small corner where you can sit.
That said, Toto smart toilet seats are not in every room; they are only fitted in the Family Hydeaway and Townhouse suites, with a heated seat, bidet wash and warm-air drying.
Although this is Tribute Portfolio, the rooms use a rather bold palette, with green headboards paired with fabrics in different patterns, quite different from typical Marriott rooms.

Dining
There are two places to eat. Seekers Restaurant & Bar has 138 seats and takes a contemporary British approach, with views of Hyde Park and a speakeasy-style cocktail bar next to it. HydeOut has 88 seats and is an all-day café that can also serve as a co-working space, located under a glass-roofed courtyard.

The gym uses Life Fitness equipment, with an additional fitness studio next to it. There are two meeting rooms, which can be used separately or combined.
Hyde & Seek Room Rates
According to English-language blog reports, rates start at about £250 on most nights in September and October, and winter is also fairly cheap; by April and May 2027 it is about £400 a night.
On points, the nights after Easter that sell for £400 or more cost 66,000 to 70,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. To be honest, using points now is not great value – mainly because the opening-period cash rates are set low, which caps the value you get from points. Conversely, once cash rates climb back in 2027, points will actually offer somewhat better value.
That said, prices at a newly opened hotel can swing quite a bit, so before booking we suggest checking your specific dates on the Marriott Bonvoy website yourself.
Conclusion
A Tribute Portfolio hotel opening opposite Hyde Park has a really good location. If you are going to London soon, booking while cash rates are still low is a better deal than using points.
