Most of Dalian's luxury hotels sit by the sea. The Donggang area of Zhongshan District is a business district built up over the past decade or so, with the wave-shaped Dalian International Conference Center standing right on the waterfront and several international luxury hotels opening on the tops of the super-tall office towers around it. Open a window and you see Dalian Bay and the harbor, and the old town and Dalian Station are only a few kilometers away. Conrad Dalian
Conrad Dalian is on Renmin East Road in Zhongshan District, right next to the Dalian International Conference Center, and opened in February 2012, one of the earlier international luxury hotel brands in the Donggang area. It has 210 rooms and suites, all on floors 26 to 38, and even the smallest room type is 48 sq m, with sea views of Dalian Bay and the harbor from the high floors.
The hotel is about 3.8 km from Dalian Station and about 14 km from Zhoushuizi Airport, which makes getting to the old town and the airport fairly convenient; the building has a 25-meter heated indoor pool and a gym.
For dining, M Bar is the hotel's bar and restaurant, serving international dishes and cocktails; if you stay on an executive floor, you can also use the executive lounge for breakfast and light bites.
If your budget is limited but you want an international luxury hotel high above the sea, this is the most affordable way into Dalian's international luxury hotels right now.

Four Seasons Hotel Dalian
Four Seasons Hotel Dalian is on Zhuyu Street in Zhongshan District, in the Donggang CBD, next to the Dalian International Conference Center and Harbor Plaza, and opened in March 2024. The tower has 41 floors, designed by NBBJ with interiors by HBA, and the hotel occupies the upper floors 23 to 41, with 254 rooms in all, 50 of them suites, and the smallest room type 44 sq m.
The hotel's most photogenic feature is the 38th-floor indoor infinity pool, with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling glass facing the city and the mountains in the distance, and a spa and gym next to it.
For dining, HUIHAI serves international seafood; Saai Yue Heen is a Cantonese restaurant; Yotsuba serves Japanese cuisine; Fresca is a bakery café; the Lobby Lounge serves afternoon tea and cocktails; and Harbour Bar focuses on whisky and cocktails.
If you want to stay in Dalian's newest luxury hotel with Four Seasons' usual standard of service, this should be your first choice.
